Swagmans Sailing Blog

Come on in and say hello via a 'comment'. We've cruised our Hanse 46' sailboat from UK to Egypt to the Caribbean mainly two handed from 2004 to 2008 and enjoyed every minute. We are back temporarily in the UK - but sunshine beckons us again for summer 2009.

30th March 206 - What a mess

Posted at 6:36 AM, Friday, March 31, 2006

As you can see below - the fore and aft ends of the boats been emptied whilst we complete the installation of removable bowsprit and Simpson Laurance davits.

It has been an experience getting all jobs completed in this week and we'll know by Sunday if we've been successful.

After some winter moans from non boaty pals on too much technical blog content, we've resolved for  those other 461 owners to post techincal items to the Hanse website (www.hanseyachts.co.uk) - and we'll will try to keep this blog a bit more entertaining than last years!

Weather forecast for the leg over to Sardinia says we'll have lightish winds but from the S or SW with sunny 20 degree days.  We'll aim to depart Mallorca late arvo Sunday - with an equal ETA early am Tuesday.

Cheers

JOHN
