17th August 2005 - Andraitz

Spent the day parked up swimming in Cala Camp de Mar and moved along into Andraitz to anchor for the night.
Interestingly, we got a good spot close to the port in the area where one is normally advised to anchor. Just outside the 'inner harbour' formed by the town mole and with the port to the east.
But for the first time in Andraitz, we saw other yachts arriving late and finding our area crowded, actually anchor inside the harbour mole. Nothing in the pilot book indicates this is not allowed, so in future I'd suggest anyone stopping here to do it.
The fisherman say the bottoms really good - soft mud and much better holding than out here. By midnight there were some 35 vessles anchored in there. Suspect there may be a bit of rock and roll in the morning as the fishing fleet departs - but a location to remember if you ever visit this nice port town.
We are off this arvo round to Palma to begin tidying up the boat ready to leave on Sunday.
Weathers gone off. Cloudy overcast today but still warm. Just what we need to make going home easier to handle!
Cheers
