3rd - 4th August - Cala Llonga (Ibiza)

Slid along the SE coast of Ibiza from the town to Cala Llonga - around 10 miles eastward.
The Cala has a good reputation so we were suprised to find it only occupied by 4 other yachts. Its kind of llonga and skinny, running north / south, with high wooded cliffs either side and a nice beach with several hotels at its head.
Spent most of yesterday giving the boat a salt water scrub to try and remove some of the red dust / grime we appeared to have picked up either at, or on our way over from Cala Saono. I think it's an inevitability when one is parked close to shore in any form of offshore wind - the dusty soil tends to get carried out on the wind - and it does build up. Gets everywhere.
Went ahore to look at the touristy township around the beach. Horrible.
One small overpriced supermarket, about 10 'Jims British Bars', 20 shops to sell you buckets and spades, and about 5 independent restaurants. Guess most who stay here would eat in their hotels.
Anyway - breeze did finally come in fromt he north as predicted - so this would be a super well protected spot if those breezes were strong. As it happens they are not - it is very gentle.
The bottoms mainly sand with some weed patches - we are in 7 metres about 100 metres off the beach - about 3/4's of the way up the Cala.
Revieved a call last night from Spectra - Andy had lost his phone and only got reconnected when his sister carried out a new SIM card from the UK. They are now back in Formentera - so we swopped a bit of info - and made plans to catch up later this week. They've promised not to move until we get there!
Not sure what today will bring - should we go to Formentera now? Or go further along this SE coast? Decisions, decisions.........
Cheers
