Come on in and say hello via a 'comment'. We've cruised our Hanse 46' sailboat from UK to Egypt to the Caribbean mainly two handed from 2004 to 2008 and enjoyed every minute. We are back temporarily in the UK - but sunshine beckons us again for summer 2009.

Nothing sailing related to report having spent a lazy day at anchor.

Stu seemed to be all thumbs when we got back last night - managed to dump 1 litre of shampoo into canvas table cover we had custom made to protect the wood.

I'm sure it will all come out when washed - but to judge by the amount of foam created when I simply tried to rinse out a small amount - we'll need to ensure no one else is within 2 miles of the washing machine!

Woke to hear thunder crashing - a few flashes of sheet lightning - all over to our east.  But sunny weather still to our west.  A few drops of rain pattered down - but stopped as quickly as it started.

Few more boats arrived to anchorfor the day - including a procession of tourist boats coming in to tie up at the island restaurant and disgorge passengers - and they all came back mid-afternoon to pick them all up again.

Lunch was liquid at a beach bar.  Evening meal will be on board - but the beach bars are alluring - and its hard to stop a big boy like Stuart when he wants to get ashore.........

Best go with the flow.

Oh the stress of it all :-)

Sounds like you had a trying day - my sympathies at you having to relax on your beautiful yacht in the company of friends under a warm blue sky, with cool "tactic juice"......................life can be hard John - but you mustn't weaken :-)

Believe it or not Scotland is due to bask in temperatures of 20C+ this week-end, as I type this the sky is blue and the sun is up. If this continues onto Monday, I can see us declaring a national holiday ;-)

Have fun, and if you get to Minorca check out Cuitadella(not sure of spelling),it was the old captital of Minorca before Mahon. From memory I think Mahon is the second largest natural harbour after Pearl Harbor.

There was another cala I remember being delightful "Fornells", but again you'd best check the pilot, and all this was a few years ago - so no resposibilty if it has all slipped a bit in recent years.

As my Antipodean friends would say - I'm off for a bit of slip slop slap....................

Take care of yourselves - and each other.

NB: Only five weeks to go till Sea Bright - but it is never on my mind - much !!
