Air Tickets Booked

The weeks seem to be rushing past as we head towards the EU spring and our 2007 trip. Sues been on the web and after discussions at work and with family, we've agreed to see out both our birthdays in April in the UK and head off to Turkey after.
I was aiming to get down to the boat in Feb to sort out a small issue we have with our keel - but it seems my planned 'helper' in eldest boatbuilding son Alex can't get down there in that month. Bugger.
So all things considered, I now leave slipping Swagman and sorting the keel until perhaps April / May - and in that way also ensure her bum is as clean as possible for our trip back across the Med.
But...we've still stcks to get done on the boat - fitting radios into spaces that just do not exist - sorting antenna when I don;t want to crop my backstay or add ugly transom hung whips - gotta put back the mainsail and also pad it to prevent wear - test sail the nexw genoa etc. Lots and lots to do - and not sure now when we'll get it all done.
We also have a family wedding in Holland mid May - so having in addition to sort tickets back from Turkey via Germany for that - plus younger son wishes to borrow the boat for a week sometime before we leave Kemer - so maybe he can come over for a week then whilst we are away??? God knows.
So having got simpy truck loads of stuff to cart down to the boat this spring - looks like it will exceed the airticket allowance of 30 kg (for two people) by a big margin.
Sue kinda thinks I'm swinging the 'get away on my own' lead by suggesting I go down for longish weekends and take 15kg each time. Sounds actually more sensible to me than trying to send it via a carrier with attendant Turkish entry problems.
Can also use the days there to ensure local engineers get working on a few jobs prior to our arrival in April.....sounds like a good plan to me anyway.... but I do need permission!!
Oviously all in all feeling pretty good - who wouldn't be, eh?
Plus some skiing to wedge in as well ...ohyaaaaaaaaaaaa
Cheers
