Schooner Rachel Corrie

• Mar. 21, 2005 - Breakfast at Noahs

I refused to cook for lots of people, but always made a point to fry beacon and eggs  as much as anybody wanted and toast and coffee.

It was fun and people loved to have two helpings of everything.

Looking at the rather primitive setup with a stove built from scrap, not two plates the same, toilet paper as serviettes, just 200m from a five star establishment, one wonders and learns what life is and happiness is really about.

However, it spoils one for a regular life in society, just as the cruising life does on another level.

About Me

That is the story of building a schooner of my own design, how came I designed it, how I built it, how I knocked my haed a few times and lost 4 woman over it. The legal battle I had with a yacht club, corrupt harbour officials and how the law totally fails in Namibia. But nevertheless, it was fun, I am glad I did it, but I would not recommend it, unless a special boat cannot be found. As this was my case.
