Started by sailing a 8ft NZ P-Class gaff rigged yacht on the Tauranga harbour as an 8 year old and later kept sailing through the years progressing from sailing with my brother on his 12ft cherub to having a 18ft Hartley trailer sailer then a 20ft Drascombe Lugger on Taupo before buying a 41 foot Admirals Cupper called Seika and sailing with a very young family to Tahiti by way of Rarotonga and then back to NZ through Samoa, Tonga and Fiji, Jenny and I later acquired a Stewart 34 for coastal cruising. Blog of the cruises of Elixir a Dufour 45 Classic bought by New Zealand couple Ted and Jenny Peacocke in June 2007 taking delivery in Kinsale, Ireland. The first cruise was a delivery all the way to Marmaris in Turkey where we intend to keep her for a year or two before sailing to Croatia then on to NZ taking the Panama route.
