About Me
Technologist in mid-life crisis (still!!!) goes sailing. Interesting only in as much as I haven't done much sailing, probably nothing like enough to justify ownership of a boat, and being "Skipper".
Still, I do know how the sails work, I spent a year owning a yacht on Windermere where you have to sail every saily boat like a dinghy, so that bit should be OK. Doing my YM theory, so learning how to read charts, calculate tides and all that stuff. Still no substitute for practical experience, but how do you get practical experience of single-handed sailing except by doing it?
