We were not required today so we spent the time lazing around in the anchorage, round the corner from the set. You can see what an idyllic spot it is. I'm looking forward to brining Tai back here on charters next year.
We did visit the set for lunch and in the strange non chronological way fims are made, my last day coincided with the making of the film's last scene.
My last experience of the loving embrace of Hollywood was the journey home. I had a flight to get from Athens at 10pm the following day but I wans't quite sure of the way to get there. An inquiry to the production office ellicited the following. A ticket ordered and picked up in Skopelos courriered to the set and finally delivered to me as I sat at a taverna on the beach. At 6.10 the following morning a car waited at the top of the path to the anchorage which to me to catch the ferry at 7am in Skopelos. At the other end the car waiting to take the rushes to the airport waited for me and whisked me to the airport. In a final 'life sometime just can't get better moment' I managed to change to an earlier Easyjet flight for no charge checking in immediately only 15 mins before the flight was due to take off.
