Caressa, Myfanwy and Night Wind went to the Walton Backwaters on the weekend of 14 & 15th April with 7 adults and 4 children on board. We took along one of the club Mirrors to help us explore the creeks and get to the beach.

Walton is just a short sail from Harwich. An hour gets you from Pin Mill to Harwich, another 60 minutes to Pye End and then you are in the channel into the Backwaters. From there you can find lots of quiet anchorages to have lunch or overnight. If you prefer a marina Titchmarsh is easy to get into and provides good protection.
It's a magical place to let childrens imaginations take flight
