Jul. 22, 2006 - We will definitely be back next year

The BCYC Regatta week was a wonderful mixture of racing and pleasure.

Tim Blackman and his team (especially Catriona and Marina) had worked very hard to create a varied blend of  sailing and social events . We had short races and longer ones such as the Classic Round the Island Race. Socially, we were in jackets and ties at the Royal Yacht Squadron one night, and dressed as Pirates at the Royal Conrinthian another. All the participants there were incredibly friendly and were always happy to show off their yachts to curious eyes.

We weren't there to race seriously but we had our moments. We had a varied crew throughout the week and were joined by a few members who wanted to spend their points on a berth. We met many new friends and will certainly be back next year which already promises to eclipse this year
