Been messing about since the end of last season but this seems to have consisted largely of starting jobs. Now I need to finish them all since I'm determined to launch next week. Spent four days aboard over Easter and made reasonable progress; cleaned topsides, scrubbed hull ready to anti-foul, got several coats of varnish on the interior (nearly all sanded back to bare wood), painted the sides of the v-berth, painted the tabernacle, touched up the rubbing strake and managed to stay out of the pub - mostly!
Going back this weekend with my mate Kenny to complete the two-handed jobs; installing a new combined VHF aerial/windex, masthead tricolour and combined steaming/deck light, re-bedding deck fittings - and staying out of the pub - maybe!
If we get that lot done then there's the anti-fouling and re-assembling the interior. It's amazing how many bits need to come off to sand back to bare wood - sink, water-pump, interior light, cooker, fire extinguishers, VHF, switch panel, cave lockers, barometer. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
