Mishaps and Memories

Nov. 18, 2007 - empty

Down to the boat yesterday morning, and brought back a car full of cushions (and I mean a car full!), along with charts and books....

Also put a dehumidifier and small greenhouse frost guard heater on board..... will have to go back in a fortnight or so to firstly check that the heater and dehum are OK, plus there are still a few bits that I want to retrieve....

Ho hum.... still... its only 3 1/2 months till she's back in....

Did you haul her out in the first place?
Is East Coast weather really that bad?

Nov. 19, 2007 - first season with her

... and I wanted to see how the anodes had stood up, plus the antifoul.... and I have a number of jobs to do that are easier with her out of the water.... will do 1 winter in, 1 out...

... and while its not 'really' nasty on the east coast in the winter, its still less than fabulous for sailing, and it becomes hassle to balance avoiding all the soft furnishings and books getting damp (through leaving them all onboard) against leaving her in a 'sailable' condition....
