Should add that we are definitely going to do this..... its just our thinking has moved on from waiting for the kids to leave home, and perhaps going at age 52ish, or saying sod it, and going now....

I share your dream: keep at it. I hope I will get to your stage one day. Your comments about SWMBO are familiar. Mine is still at the vague "maybe, one day in the too distant future" stage. I do not think that that kid's schooling will necessarily be a problem. Finances and carrer pick up on return (or wherever you'll end up) are a more serious consideration...
