Jan. 14, 2007 - BOOM!

One of the laws of nature is that when driving if you look left, the vehicle is likely to veer that direction.

Well...I was on the phone yesterday and it was a gorgeous day.  80 degrees, sunny, the stuff dreams are made of.  Well, I laid out on the boom to enjoy the sun and talk to an old friend.

I heard a noise over to starboard, looked over, and promptly fell off the boom.  I went boom on the deck.   Left ankle looks like someone held a match to it, nice, long burn mark from the mainsail cover.  Under my right arm is purple and chafed.

Heather popped her head out the hatch..."What happened?"

Steve on the phone asked the same question....

I'm just glad I went boom and the phone didn't go splash!
