Yes, you can!
I have been on the same Gillette Mach 3 razor head since Feb. 2006. 7 full months and it cuts like it was new out of the pack.
How?
Dry the blade completely after each use. I pat it off on a towel. Blow on it a few times. Whatever. But drying the blade immediately is supposed to stop the fine edge from rusting...and it is supposed to be that fine layer of tarnish that keeps the blade from cutting efficiently. Clean the little bits of stubble out, the blade stays undented and sharp as Jon Stewart's wit (Davey...that reference was for you...)
Either way, it works for me. At the price of replacement blades, we could cruise the Caribbean for years on what it costs for a 4-pack these days. |
