Sirenia

• Apr. 7, 2007 - The story so far

We bought Sirenia though a broker in Falmouth in  March 2006.

She is an Evolution 25 Built in 1986.

She had spent the previous few years swinging round a buoy in the area.

The owner before the one we brought her from had replaces her engine and had kept her in good condition.

But then she had be allowed to deteriorate.

The surveyors report on her made 35 pages.

Fortunately there was no major problems just a lot of minor issues.

We had to get all the running gear replaced on her trailer before we could bring her home to Cambridge.

We spent the next few months working through the Surveyors list.

This included:-

Replacing a longitudinal bulkhead under the forcabin bunks.

Replacing the roller reefing and Genoa.

Replacing the sailing instruments.

Laminating a new tiller.

We had a 1st sail at Easter 2006.

We launched from Suffolk Yacht Harbor and spent a couple of days checking every thing out.

More history as I get round to it
